Tänkare (2015)
A seated, robot-like figure made entirely of welded steel and reclaimed machine parts, The sculpture reflects on the nature of thought in a mechanical age. With its bowed head and resting posture, it nods to Rodin’s iconic sculpture, reimagined through a lens of industry and automation.
At 1.2 meters tall, the sculpture balances stillness with tension, its exposed joints and worn surfaces hinting at a past life in motion.
Tänkaren (The Thinker) has been exhibited in multiple contexts and used as a prop in films and on music album covers.
A figure of quiet contemplation, it invites viewers to pause and imagine what machines might dream about.
