"Shards of sky"

Permanent public comission for Naturnära Kundalini Yoga Center in Söderköping | 2021

Polished stainless steel

Installed in 2021 at the Naturnära Kundalini Yoga Center in Söderköping, "Shards of Sky" (Skärvor av himmel ) is a reflective sculpture inspired by stillness, presence, and connection to nature.

The piece consists of several polished steel surfaces positioned low to the ground, scattered along the edge of the Göta Canal. Each element mirrors the sky above, creating an ever-changing experience shaped by clouds, light, and weather.

The sculpture invites quiet contemplation, encouraging viewers to reflect on their place in the universe. As fragments of the sky come into view, the work becomes both a poetic meditation and a subtle reminder of the beauty and mystery that surrounds us.
